In the Epilogue to Book Three of the Sword Channel Saga, there is the following passage:  "The land known as Domandkar, from whence humans had first arisen and then spread throughout the continent, was very difficult to reach, due to the barrier of the Kalindus Mountains and the fierce sentient species the malkalin inhabiting the mountains. Humans had finally crossed the Kalindus Mountains thousands of years ago, but only after bloody wars with the malkalin. The Cles Council was not going to fight the malkalin. But the word was that there were thriving cities in Domandkar, so Jalinda would keep trying."

A year after the end of Book 3, Jalinda and the rest of the warparty do in fact make their way to Domandkar. What they find there changes everything. Work has started on the next book. Stayed tuned for progress reports!
